Serving

Each Serve receives a rating

4 pts= Ace/ Opponent has 0 options

3 pts= Opponent has 1 setting option

bullet

2 pts= Opponent has 2 setting options

bullet

1 pt= Opponent has 3 setting options

bullet

0 pts= Missed Serve

bullet

We set as our team goal to Serve at least a 2 average
bullet

Example: Player #1 serves the following; 4,2,0,2,2,4,1,3,3,3

She receives 24 pts by adding the serving amounts together

bullet

Divide that by the number of serves, 10 and she served a 2.40 for the tournament

bullet

She achieved her goal by Serving over a 2 average

Passing (Serve Receive)
bullet

Each Pass receives a rating (opposite to Serving)
bullet

0 pts= Ace/ We have 0 options

bullet

1 pt= We have 1 setting option

bullet

2 pts= We have 2 setting options

bullet

3 pts= We have 3 setting options

bullet

4 pts= Missed Serve

bullet

We set as our team goal to Pass at least a 2 average
bullet

Example: Player #1 passes the following; 3,3,1,2,3,2,3,2,0,2

She receives 21 pts by adding the passing amounts together

bullet

Divide that by the number of passes, 10 and she passed a 2.10 for the tournament

bullet

She achieved her goal by Passing over a 2 average

Attacking
bullet

Kills Minus Errors Divided by Attempts ((K-E)/A)

bullet

We set as our team goal to Attack at least a .300 average (like a batting average)
bullet

Example: Player #1 attacks the following; 18 Kills, 4 Errors, and 38 Attempts.

The calculations show she attacked a .368.

She achieved her goal by Attacking over a .300 average

 

bullet

Blocking (Prior to Yakima Tournament, March 17th-18th)
bullet

We took stats on solo and assisted/shared blocks

bullet

A player that has a .5 block means she assisted/shared the block with another player

 

bullet

Blocking (Starting at Yakima Tournament, March 17th-18th)
bullet

Each Blocking attempt (any touch at and above the net after an opponent attacks the ball) receives a rating
bullet

3 pts= Block that ends play on opponents side (point for us)

bullet

2 pts= Block that stays in play on opponents side (no point)

bullet

1 pt= Block that stays in play on our side (no point)

bullet

0 pts= Block that ends play on our side or out of bounds (point for opponents)

bullet

We set our team goal to Block at least a 2 average
