These are the main points of our program
I. OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM GOALS
A. Player Improvement · Each and every player must see progress in their individual volleyball skills. B. Parent Satisfaction · Each and every parent must see progress in their daughter’s individual volleyball skills. C. Team · Players must support each other regardless of their grade, rank, playing status (court vs. bench), and likes & dislikes for one another. · We will work together to achieve our goals.
II. PLAYING TIME
A. Working hard is rewarded with playing time. Everything is earned, nothing is just given away. B. Player rankings will help determine who will receive playing time throughout the season. C. Everyone will play during the season, if it’s earned. Playing time is more equal on the C and JV teams because they are skill development teams. The varsity team will not be equal due to program goals of making it to the post season. D. Negative attitude and lack of effort during practices and matches will adversely affect playing time.
III. PLAYER RANKINGS
A. Players’ rankings (points added together) are determined by attendance, winning competition drills during practice, and playing well in league matches. Having a positive attitude, a great work ethic, and a never give up mentality can also earn you points and move players up. B. The idea is to create a positive and competitive atmosphere where everyone is accountable for their actions. C. Rankings get updated and posted every day so everyone knows where they stand. D. Players need to know what it takes to improve their ranking. This is one way goals are set, worked on, and eventually achieved.
IV. DISPUTES, PROBLEMS, DRAMA
A. Playing time · Players and parents should take their disputes and questions directly to their head coach. · Please schedule a time to meet that doesn’t interfere with practice and matches. B. Missing practice/matches · Players are required to attend practice/matches unless they are sick and contagious, immobile due to a physical injury, or need to improve their grades by getting additional help after school. · Players/Parents must contact their head coach at the earliest possible time when one of these occurs. · Missing practice will have an adverse affect on playing time regardless of the reason. C. Disrespect · Lying, spreading rumors, being distractive, mistreating equipment, and showing a general lack of effort are all forms of disrespect and players will be disciplined, suspended, or released from the program if they become a continuous problem. · Starting Drama among your teammates is also a major form of Disrespect. Anyone causing Drama will be disciplined and could be released from the program. Stop this before it gets started. D. Using or being around drugs and alcohol · Anyone found breaking this rule can be released from the volleyball program and will be disciplined by the school administration. This rule is in effect during the entire calendar year.
V. PARENT VOLUNTEERS
A. Video taping matches. B. Announcer during home matches for line-ups and stuff. C. Help with fundraising. D. Work in our Booster Club.

PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy is to create a fun learning environment that challenges everyone to excel. It's not about winning and losing; it's about Personal, Team, and Program success. Every player in this program needs to have the chance to fail and then learn from their failures. For the girls, it's about playing out of the box, being aggressive, and attacking everything put in front of them.
This is not a fluff program. We work hard every practice and in every match. We compete at everything we do and push one another to improve with every touch of the ball. This program is not for the timid, lazy, or uninspired.
We set Personal, Team, and Program goals biased on stats because the numbers never lie. Knowledge is power and a well informed Player, Parent, and Coach will move forward together in a positive way always knowing what the next step is. We focus on the task at hand so we always understand what needs to be done.
FINAL NOTE TO THE PLAYERS AND PARENTS
It’s important that everyone in the program support the coaching staff. We want to create a positive atmosphere and that means outside discussions on how our program is run should be positive. We want players and parents from other schools to be jealous of how united we are. Please be understanding and positive as we move forward.
